Indian researchers find high-yielding algae in Cochin backwaters

In India, researchers at the Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) have identified a strain of algae in the Cochin estuary that could provide good yields for biodiesel production, with almost 26% lipids. The challenge will be harvest the yellow-colored algae without them dying.
