Biofuels Digest Index drops to 61.72 as Santa Claus slide strikes

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, slipped 0.84 percent to 61.72 as all sectors fell in an inverse Santa Claus rally. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) tumbled 3.55 percent to $10.33, while Metabolix (MBLX) rebounded 22.25 percent to $0.41. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) dumped 6.36 percent to $2.06. Overall, declines led advances 5 to 1 for the day.
