Bristol City Council launching B25 trial in 100 cars of city’s fleet

January 1, 2015 |

In the UK, the city council of Bristol is planning to convert 100 of the cars in its fleet to run on 25% biodiesel in 2015 as part of its role as European Green Capitol 2015. The council will convert one of its fuel bunkers to biodiesel and plans to convert other bunkers for the use of others’ if demand presents itself. Expanding the fleet to include more biodiesel is also likely if the results of the pilot project show significant carbon emissions savings.
