TransBiodiesel develops immobilized enzymes to produce biodiesel from low quality feedstock

In Israel, TransBiodiesel has teamed with Korean company M-Energy to develop a biodiesel production process using immobilized enzymes using a wide range of feedstock from brown grease to palm oil with FFA content of up to 100%. The biocatalyst, which can produce up to 4,000 gallons of biodiesel per ton, needs to only be replaced every 6 to 12 months, depending on the feedstock.
