Biofuels Digest Index drops to 60.69 as oil glooms mounts

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, dumped 3.26 percent to 60.69 amidst a global rollback on energy stocks as benchmark oil dropped below $50. For the day, Green Plains (GPRE) fell 10.19 percent to $23.09, while Total (TOT) dropped 6.06 percent to $48.06. Among other equities, British Petroleum (BP) lost 5.30 percent to $36.10. Overall, declines led advances 4 to 1 for the day.
