Biofuels Digest Index slumps to 59.33 as oil bears reign over energy stocks

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, slumped 2.24 percent to 59.33 as energy stock gloom continued to drive oil prices and energy equities down. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) plunged 13.86 percent to $8.70, while while Aemetis (AMTX) was down 5.63 percent to $5.20. Among other equities, Gevo (GEVO) shed 8.20 percent to $0.32. Overall, declines led advances 11 to 3 for the day.
