Biofuels Digest Index falls to 58.96 as energy sector worries drive prices down

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, fell 1.14 percent to 58.96 as energy sector worries drove prices down. For the day, Ceres (CERE) gave back 17.75 percent to $0.23, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) dropped 8.36 percent to $7.89. Among other equities, Aemetis (AMTX) slumped 4.37 percent to $4.16. Overall, declines led advances 7 to 3 for the day.
