India’s food department calls for stocktaking of ethanol production and supply

In India, the food department has called for a meeting at the end of January to determine how many mills are producing how much ethanol. With sugar production continuing to grow, the ministry wants more mills to produce ethanol. Oil marketing companies only received offers for about half of the ethanol they tendered for recently because the solicitation came very late in the crushing season.
