UK university kept from supplying CHP power to grid by national regulator

January 21, 2015 |

In the UK, the University of Greenwich has run into a problem with the UK Power Network who recently said it could only supply 200kWe onto the national grid rather than the 410kWe CHP it had developed as part of an EU-funded project. The power was supposed to be enough to run the entire science campus and lower campus emissions by 2,600 metric tons per year.
