In Mississippi, the state’s Department of Environmental Quality says the JNS Biofuel plant in New Albany—which was destroyed last year in an explosion—has received the required permits to re-open, but a date hasn’t yet been set. The accident caused $3.5 million in damage but the new facility is much bigger, with feedstock storage for 130,000 gallons compared to 46,000 gallons at the previous plant.
