German rapeseed crop at risk of frost damage

In Germany, the rapeseed crop is at risk of severe damage from frost after it was left weakened by insects following an EU ban on a common pesticide. The French and British crops suffered less damage and look to better survive any potential cold snaps. European rapeseed production is seen down 11% on the year at 21.5 million metric tons, barring any major frost damage.
