Biofuels Digest Index jumps to 62.61 as ethanol equities soar

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, jumped 2.39 percent to 62.61 as ethanol equities soared.  For the day, Green Plains (GPRE) rocketed up 8.23 percent to $26.57, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) was up 8.83 percent to $9.74. Among other equities, Aemetis (AMTX) rebounded 6.94 percent to $3.85. Overall, advances led declines 4 to 1 for the day.
