Harvard researchers produce isopropanol from “bionic leaf”

In Massachusetts, Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Harvard Medical School and the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University have developed a way to produce isopropanol from solar energy using bacteria as a “bionic leaf”. The technology is based on inexpensive catalysts and materials that are readily accessible.
