EIA says ethanol stocks fall for first time since December

February 19, 2015 |

In Washington, the Energy Information Agency says ethanol stockpiles have fallen at last, the first time since December, to 21.08 million barrels during the week ending Feb. 13. That figure is 51,000 barrels lower than the previous week. Despite the fall in stocks, production still increased slightly by 3,000 barrels per day even though lower crushing margins are expected to keep distillers from producing at full capacity.
