Chevron Lummus Global teams with Euglena for Asia’s first aviation biofuel plant

In Japan, Chevron Lummus Global has teamed with Euglena on an aviation biofuel plant that will be the first in Asia. The facility, which will cost upwards of $250 million, is set to come online in 2018. Uglena, or freshwater unicellular organisms, will be the feedstock for the fuel. The contract should be finalized in March.
