RFA awards Delayne Johnson, Cellerate team at QCCP with 2015 Industry Award

February 23, 2015 |

In Texas, the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) presented Delayne Johnson and his Cellerate team at Quad County Corn Processors (QCCP) with the RFA 2015 Industry Award at the 20th Annual National Ethanol Conference. The Industry Award is bestowed annually to individuals or groups that demonstrate great dedication and innovation within the industry.

Cellerate process technology is a collaborative effort between Syngenta and QCCP’s subsidiary company Cellulosic Ethanol Technologies LLC that QCCP licenses to other ethanol plants. Cellerate, which was previously known as the Adding Cellulosic Ethanol process, was invented by QCCP plant engineer Travis Brotherson. Combined with current production levels of conventional ethanol, QCCP is on track to produce 35 million gallons of ethanol annually. Extra hands were hired upon the opening of this state-of-the-art facility, bringing the total number of employees at the company to 40.
