Australian sugar coop looks to sell remaining 50% to Manildra

In Australia, Sunshine Sugars Coop. may sell its 50% shareholding in itself to Manildra, who already owned 50% of the company since 1989. With much of the Australian sugar industry getting snapped up by foreign investors, the hope was to strengthen one of the country’s leading ethanol producers with complete control over some domestic sugar assets.
