European ethanol plants may take longer maintenance breaks than normal

Across Europe, March is maintenance season which means that many ethanol producers are expected to go offline temporarily, providing a respite to the market that may result in higher prices for a short time. Some producers may consider early or prolonged maintenance closures in an effort to remove more ethanol from the market and potentially improve crush margins.
