Guatemala or Costa Rica may export 15,000 cubic m of ethanol to Europe soon

In the Netherlands, despite a weakening Euro not being conducive to imports, it is expected that 15,000 cubic meters of ethanol could make its way toward Rotterdam from Guatemala or Costa Rica as a short-term trading window opens. Low ethanol prices over much of the past year have lowered import demand from previous year, but Platts reported the April/May paper trade was heard in backwardation.
