Mothballing Ensus puts pressure on exporters to sell more UK wheat abroad

In the UK, the Home Grown Cereals Agency has cut its estimates for domestic wheat demand by 296,000 metric tons in part due to the temporary mothballing of Ensus. As a result, there’s more pressure on the country to export half a million tons of wheat—a level not seen since 2008—in order to not build up additional stocks.
