Brazilian ethanol exports soared in March, up 43% on year

In Brazil, March ethanol exports jumped 43% on the year to 111,000 cu m, up from 71,092 cu m exported in February, thanks to a weaker Real and combined with the onset of the new sugarcane crush. Prices fell to the lowest since 2009 at $440 per cubic meter by mid-March. On March 29, a vessel loaded with 40,000 cubic meters left the port of Santos for Ft. Lauderdale.
