Zimbabwe cuts E15 blend to E5 on ethanol shortage

In Zimbabwe, fuel prices at the pump have risen in recent weeks as ethanol supply shortages have cut the E15 blends down to E5. Policy was meant to support E20 blends from March but incessant rains have kept equipment from harvesting cane to produce ethanol, so the blend was reduced. National policy allows for the energy ministry to reduce the ethanol blend when there is a lack of ethanol availability.
