Nebraska’s ethanol industry provides an average of $5 billion in value annually

In Nebraska, the University of Nebraska’s Agricultural Economics department and Bureau of Business Research have released a report showing the value of ethanol industry for the state has averaged more than $5 billion annually for the past three years, reaching as high as $6.6 billion in 2011. During the past five years, ethanol and DDGS productions have provided more value than soybean production.
