Construction begins on Iowa sodium methylate plant

In Iowa, ground has been broken on construction of the New Heaven sodium methylate plant in Manly that will supply the biodiesel industry when it comes online next year. Worth County provided tax incentives as well as a $300,000 cash incentive while the state’s economic development authority offered other incentives based on the 16 jobs that will be created.
