Holden drops E85 compatibility from Commodore vehicles after slack demand

April 15, 2015 |

In Australia, Holden has dropped E85 compatibility from its Commodore vehicles following its introduction in 2010 due to consumers not taking up the fuel. Caltex had agreed to supply E85 at gas stations but has begun rolling it back due to lack of demand and high costs associated with shipping the fuel from NSW to Adelaide, for example, where it had been retailed at six fueling stations. One Sydney location will also stop offering E85 while the remaining 30 stations will the fuel will be reviewed.
