Stronger dollar boosting demand for Brazil ethanol exports over US

April 16, 2015 |

In Brazil, the stronger dollar is boosting demand for its ethanol exports while making US ethanol exports less attractive. Demand from the Middle East and Asia have picked up particularly. The US is expected to produce an excess of 500 million gallons of ethanol this year and next year.
