Tell us about your company and it’s role in the Advanced Bioeconomy.

Airstream Innovations delivers patented fully-screened wind-assisted positive-pressure structures from one-half to over 2 acres in size. These fully-automatic customizeable greenhouses maximize photosynthesis and use the physics of ventilation to optimize transpiration resulting in the fastest growth possible.

Tell us about your role and what you are focused on in the next 12 months.

Our goal over the next 12 months is to identify and expand to new markets. The biofuel industry has unique pressures which we believe Airstream Innovations can alleviate using our patented positive pressure production environments. We offer algae growers laboratory conditions – optimal growing environments – that until now, were too expensive to justify. We can eliminate the problems of pest and ash contamination, increase production through controlling ventilation and insulation and dramatically reduce the cost of extraction resulting in the highest quality product.

What do you feel are the most important milestones the industry must achieve in the next 5 years?

Eliminating pest and ash pressures that reduces the cost of extraction, reducing wear and tear on equipment, and improving the value of the resulting product.

If you could snap your fingers and change one thing about the Advanced Bioeconomy, what would you change?

Accelerating local production of biofuel throughout the country and beyond.

Of all the reasons that influenced you to join the Advanced Bioeconomy industry, what single reason stands out for you as still being compelling and important to you?

Our primary goal is determining how cost-effective our production environments are over conventional solutions.
