Dakota Spirit AgEnergy starts receiving corn with eye on May to start production

In North Dakota, Dakota Spirit AgEnergy has started taking in corn with ethanol production expected to start in May. The company began receiving corn in October at a rented facility but deliveries on-site began April 1. As of April 15, the company was buying corn on a spot basis for $3.16 a bushel using dsabids.com as the contract platform.
