RFA-commissioned poll shows 62% of national voters support the RFS

April 27, 2015 |

In Washington, Morning Consult conducted a national poll on behalf of the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA). The survey of 2,047 registered voters took place from April 5-7, 2015. Results from the full survey have a margin of error of ± 2%.

The RFS garners broad, bipartisan support from Democrats (65%), Independents (61%) and Republicans (57%) alike. Nearly two in three registered voters overall (62%) support the RFS, which requires a certain amount of the fuel produced each year to come from ethanol, bio-diesel and other renewable sources that are not fossil fuels. Less than two in 10 voters (18%) oppose the standard and two in 10 have no opinion (20%).
