Philippines late in setting Q3 ethanol quota due to Q1 production challenges

April 28, 2015 |

In the Philippines, the country’s Dept. of Energy hasn’t yet issued its ethanol blend quotas for Q3 following a mix up in the Q1 production and quotas that led to companies not sourcing all of the ethanol they should have. The country’s eight producers only managed to produce 43 million liters during Q1 despite promising to produce 59.7 million liters. About 37 million liters are expected for the Q3 quota, down significantly from 59.7 million liters for Q1 and 61.35 million liters for Q2.
