UNICA says hydrous ethanol sales soared during H1 April on tax changes

In Brazil, UNICA says hydrous ethanol sales soared during the first half of April at 693.7 million liters, up from 453.86 million liters during the same period last year. Higher gasoline taxes nationwide since February have helped improve demand while further support came from Minas Gerais where a lower sales tax on hydrous is encouraging drivers to fill their flex-fuel vehicles.
