Singapore sourcing 65% of Australian tallow exports for biodiesel

In Australia, Singapore is bouncing back as a key demand center for inedible tallow exports for use in biodiesel production. Policy changes in the US dropped demand for Australian tallow imports as the focus was more on domestic feedstocks, so even though exports haven’t recovered to mid-2014 levels of 300,000 metric tons annually, Singapore is currently absorbing about 65% of the 250,000 tons of exports.
