Biocom project to be commissioned in June one year late and 50% above budget

In Angola, the $750 million Biocom ethanol and sugar project led by Brazil’s Odebrecht is set for commissioning in June after a year’s delays and a 50% increase of the projected investment. Ethanol production should hit 6 million liters in 2015. The company’s second phase will expand to 80,000 hectares over the next four years from the current 42,000 ha.
