Jamaican ethanol producer looks to exit the market after 8 years

In Jamaica, JB Broilers is in discussions with local and international operators to take over the running of the 125 million gallon ethanol plant it set up eight years ago, resigning itself to the fact that it won’t recuperate the $42 million invested in the facility over the years. The associated dehydration facility has been mothballed balled for more than a year.
