NREL study shows most fuel tanks in US can safely store E15

In Colorado, NREL has released a new study sponsored by the RFA that shows the majority of installed fuel tanks across the US can store E15, rather than the previous expectation that they couldn’t handle blends above 10%. The study suggests that the requirement to upgrade fueling stations to allow for chip and pin credit card payments by 2017 is a perfect opportunity to also upgrade tanks to E25 standards.
