Argentina’s biodiesel industry seen producing less than 2 million tons

In Argentina, the country’s biofuels industry expects biodiesel production to fall 20% this year due to tax uncertainty that has hit biodiesel export viability. Most plants are only running at 20% to 30% of installed capacity with production potentially falling under 2 million metric tons. A limited domestic market and price cuts are also hitting demand hard.
