Neste going Google and Google going Neste NEXBTL

In Finland, the world’s leading producer of renewable fuels, Neste is going Google by introducing Google Drive for Work services to its personnel globally. Being at the forefront of technology development Neste is taking the next step in creating an environment for innovation and enabling new ways of working.

At the same time Google is moving forward with Neste’s innovative NEXBTL renewable diesel which is being used on selected Google’s shuttle buses (gBuses) in Silicon Valley, California.

“Our partnership with Google enables us to use the latest technology to innovate and succeed in the digital transformation impacting all industries. Together with Google we want to make most of the opportunity ahead of us,” says Tommi Tuovila, CIO of Neste Corporation.  Based on an extensive evaluation carried out within the last year, Neste decided to implement Google for Work services enabling a true shift in the ways of working. Google Drive for work enables Neste people to work better from any place and any device. Employees can now meet face-to-face wherever they are by using high-definition video meetings and store with unlimited file storage. Editing, sharing and accessing files is secure from any device.

Neste’s innovative NEXBTL renewable diesel used by Google’s shuttle buses  Neste and Google have also decided to cooperate in the field of cleaner traffic.  “Both Neste and Google share the notion of focusing on things that are not just relevant now but also in the future. The promise of technology can make our world much better for us and our children. A good example of innovation for our future is Neste’s NEXBTL renewable diesel fuel that Google has decided to use on selected gBus fleets,” says Jesper Stormholt from Google.
