Indonesian government delays palm oil levy to July 1 due to admin hiccups

June 16, 2015 |

In Indonesia, the government has delayed implementation of the levy on crude palm oil and palm oil products again to July 1 from the previously planned June 15 due to ongoing technical administrative challenges. When the policy is implemented, CPO exports will be charged a levy of $50 per metric ton while palm oil products will be charged $30 per ton as long as there is zero tax on exports.
