ANDRITZ gets order for biosolids to biodiesel project in Los Angeles

June 17, 2015 |

In California, ANDRITZ has received an order from Kore Infrastructure to supply a paddle dryer for a biosolids recovery plant currently under construction in Rialto. In the plant, biosolids from wastewater facilities in Los Angeles and which have normally gone to landfill will be converted into biodiesel and biochar. Start-up is scheduled for the second quarter of 2016. The ANDRITZ SEPARATION dryer will reduce the biosolids volume by up to 80%, while preserving its energy content for further recovery. The outstanding track-record of ANDRITZʼs paddle drying technology with more than 200 paddle dryer installations worldwide was decisive in award of this order.
