Oregon’s LCFS nixed in Republican deal for boosting fuel taxes

In Oregon, the state’s planned Low Carbon Fuel Standard has been nixed by a single Republican vote that keeps the Democratic-lead houses from making tax reform decisions, so the governor and a group of eight state legislators have negotiated a 4 cent rise in the gas tax to fund electric vehicle charging infrastructure and natural gas fueling stations in exchange for dropping the LCFS.
