Odebrecht to boost ethanol production 22% on year

In Brazil, Odebrecht plans to boost its cane crush this year by 15% and in turn boost ethanol production by 22% from the 1.58 billion liters is produced last year. The company plans to invest $193 million this year, betting on bioenergy, despite the lowest sugar prices in more than six years. Last year it invested $322 million.
