Universal Robina sees ethanol and cogen adding $33.2 million to revenues

In the Philippines, Universal Robina says that its renewable energy unit is expected to contribute $33.2 million to the company’s bottom line, thanks to ethanol and co-generation production from sugarcane. It expects to sell around 20 million liters of ethanol this year and then full capacity next year from its 100,000 liter per day plant.
