Brazil’s ethanol consumption slides to just 36% of fuel mix from 54% in 2008

In Brazil, ethanol consumption has fallen to just 36% of the transport fuel mix, down from 54% six years ago, which equals about 16% of the country’s overall energy mix. During that time, 300,000 jobs were lost in the industry. The ANP argues that the government has the legal tools to help the sugarcane and ethanol industries recover.
