US ethanol production reaches annualized volume of 15 billion gallons

In Washington, According to EIA data as analyzed by the Renewable Fuels Association, ethanol production averaged 987,000 barrels per day (b/d)—or 41.45 million gallons daily. That is up 19,000 b/d from the week before. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 982,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 15.05 billion gallons.

Stocks of ethanol stood at 19.8 million barrels. That is a 1.6% increase from last week, but still well below the year-to-date average of 20.6 million barrels. Imports of ethanol were non-existent for the 26^th time in 27 weeks.

Gasoline demand for the week averaged 400.3 million gallons daily. Refiner/blender input of ethanol averaged 904,000 b/d. Over the past four weeks, domestic ethanol blending has averaged 13.9 billion gallons on an annualized rate. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 10.35%.

On the co-products side, ethanol producers were using 14.965 million bushels of corn to produce ethanol and 110,152 metric tons of livestock feed, 98,202 metric tons of which were distillers grains. The rest is comprised of corn gluten feed and corn gluten meal. Additionally, ethanol producers were providing 5.81 million pounds of corn distillers oil daily.
