July 16, 2015 |

In Egypt, students at the Engineering Institute of Aviation and Technology in collaboration with the National Research Centre have successfully produced aviation biofuel meeting ASTM1655. The country has capacity to produce about 30 tons of the fuel per day and as such Egypt Air will fly its first biofuel flights next year. A test was held last week using the fuel on a E200 jet engine model.
