China’s June ethanol imports soar with more on the way from Brazil

July 22, 2015 |

In China, June ethanol imports soared to 20,643 cu meters from just 100 cu meters a year ago, led by exports from the US and Pakistan. Pakistan led the export push with 15,507 cu m of undenatured ethanol thanks to a duty-free trade agreement it has with China. Fuel-grade ethanol is on its way to China from Brazil while more US exports are also expected, following the 5,103 cu meters exported in June.
