Texas gas station launches personal revolution beyond B20 to B50 and B100

July 23, 2015 |

In Texas, Root Fuels has started offering B50 and B100 at its gas station in Houston just six months after offering B20. One pump sells unleaded gasoline and B100 to two lanes while the other has a blender pump offering B20, B50 and B100, also selling to two lanes. The biodiesel he buys is RINless and thanks to zero excise tax on biodiesel in Texas, is able to offer his fuels cheaper than his competitors who sell primarily fossil diesel. The company has been trying to achieve such a move for more than 7 years and wants to expand the chain across the country with its biodiesel message.
