Algae.Tec fuels technology arrives for install at monster Reliance refinery in India

In Australia,  Algae.Tec has shipped 7 containers of equipment, including photobioreactor modules and solar light units, on schedule and received in Jamnagar, India for installation within the world’s largest oil refinery, owned and operated by Reliance Industries. Ground works, equipment erection and plant construction are well underway with commissioning of the plant to be completed this quarter, the company said.

The Reliance plant was also the site of installation of a demo-scale Algenol facility earlier this year, which you can read more about here.

At the same time, Algae.Tec disclosed that it is building a small scale algae production plant for nutraceutical applications in the Company’s test facilities in Cumming, Georgia. The Company is employing its unique photo-bioreactor technology for production of high quality algae products for nutraceutical formulations. Major equipment and materials have been received with final installation underway presently. Initial commissioning of the plant is on schedule for September with ramp up to full capacity by the end of the year.
