Ringneck Energy seeking $90 million from local investors

In South Dakota, promoters of the proposed Ringneck Energy ethanol plant planned for Onida are holding as many as 50 investor meetings around the state, and potentially into North Dakota and Minnesota as well, in an attempt to raise up to $90 million to build the $140 million,70 million gallon plant. The facility can later be expanded into 100 million gallons.Potential investors must demonstrate that they have the financial solvency to risk the $50,000 minimum investment sought by each individual who participates in the project.
