US H1 ethanol exports up 5% as Brazilian demand soars

In Washington, the US Census Bureau said ethanol exports were up 5% during the first half of the year at 1.65 billion liters thanks increased demand from Brazil for undenatured fuel ethanol. About half of the exports were for fuel ethanol with more tan 80% of that going to Brazil. Those exports to Brazil were up 42% on the year for the same period. Platts estimates that 2015 ethanol exports to Brazil could almost doublé from 2014’s at around 900 million liters.
